Hi, I’m Letitia Wu,
the creator of this course. I’ve been teaching Chinese to international students since 2006, and I’m excited to help you build a strong foundation in Pinyin. 

Mastering Pinyin is the first step to speaking Chinese clearly and confidently, and this course will guide you through it step by step.

Lesson One Simple Finals (Vowels)

Lesson Two Initials (Consonants)

In lesson two, we'll explore the 21 Chinese consonants: b, p, m, f, d, t, n, l, g, k, h, j, q, x, zh, ch, sh, r, z, c, and s

These consonants, combined with the vowels you learned in lesson one, form the building blocks of Chinese words. 

Mastering these consonants will greatly improve your pronunciation and comprehension.

Lesson Three Compound Finals

In this lesson, we focus on 29 Chinese compound finals. 

These are combinations of vowels and sometimes consonants that create unique sounds in the language. 

The compound finals include ai, ei, ao, ou, iu, ui, and more. Understanding these sounds will enable you to pronounce Chinese words more accurately and naturally. 

Let's explore these compound finals and take your pronunciation skills to the next level!
